Next-Generation Process in Traditional Business


Context & objectives

TThe goal was to make sure that all internal (stockers, instructions,etc) and external documents (invoices, packing lists, specific shipment files, etc.) would be generated automatically, while ensuring that we could link each to the right client in their existing system and assign each of them to the correct processing team afterward.




Approach

We then realised a systematic audit of every process of the front office to understand deeply its actors and their interactions. We then used Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to classify any incoming order automatically.

Working in close collaboration with the front office, I produced a functional prototype of a system using the fastest path to achieve the various deliverables required by the department.

Results


With the solutions I provided, Meerapfel was able to :



• Overcome performances issues related to their fragmented IT environments and workflows.

• Diminished effectively the front office’s workload and the processing time needed to generate internal and external documents, allowing to handle all ordering documents daily and considerably save time.

• Increase the precision of the information architecture, eliminate redundancies and limit manual errors by simply moving to a standardized model-based procedure.

• Save significant time and money by reducing costs with a document generating process fully automated.
